Have you just started a Water to Thrive campaign?  Or maybe you have an existing campaign but haven’t reached your goal?  Below are some FUNdraising ideas to inspire you!
1. Sell W2T Items: Raise funds through Ethiopian coffee, W2T shirts and mugs, East African jewelry, and more!  Contact the W2T offices for details on ordering these items or view online: https://www.watertothrive.org/artisans and https://www.watertothrive.org/store
2. Bucket Drive: Collect change (for example, Penny Monday, Nickel Tuesday, Dime Wednesday etc.) in water bottles, jugs, etc!
3. Give it up to give it away: Make water your only beverage for a month. Save the money you would usually spend on beverages. After 4 weeks, donate the money you saved to W2T & give someone clean water for a lifetime (and you’re healthier now, too)!
4. Collect a Mile of Pennies: It takes 84,480 pennies laid end-to-end to stretch the length of a mile. That’s $844.80! What a great group fundraiser, activity and photo opportunity!  If you have a track at school, you could do this for 4-6 miles, representing the walk for water.
5. Create a Water Droplet Wall: Students make paper water drops, sell for them for $1.00 each, and then display them on a school wall.
6. Lemonade Stand: Hold a lemonade stand (or koolaid, cold tea, iced coffee, anything that also needs water to make it!) in your neighborhood or outside your church!  This is a great one for education and for the kiddos to get involved.

7. Car Wash: This one is pretty self-explanatory, but a walk for water could be set up here as well for education!

8. A Real Walk/Run for Water: Hold a 5K (or any race) within your own company or organization in the name of W2T!

9. 10X10 Challenge: Challenge each member of your organization to reach out to ten people and ask for a $10 donation for your water project.  If you get 50 people to do this, you’ll have enough for an entire water well!

10: Birthday Blessings: Instead of accepting gifts for your birthday, ask your friends and family to give gifts to your water campaign. You may be surprised at some very generous donations!

11: Dining for Dollars: Connect with local restaurants, caterers or chefs to put on a fancy dinner.  Don’t know any chefs?  Host a potluck! Show a W2T video and discuss the cause. Include envelopes at each place setting.
