Meet our Team

Ann Flemings

Director of Advancement

Why I’m here: Water to Thrive’s mission is what got me excited about working here. Simple yet powerful; Build wells, change lives. Then, meeting the team absolutely blew me away! I am amazed by what this small, yet mighty nonprofit does to truly change lives in a direct and high-impact way. It is thrilling for me to be able to say that your donation to Water to Thrive can transform a life forever. Having the opportunity to make the world a better place in such a profound way is gratifying, and I am humbled.

What I love about my work: Giving feels good, and I love helping people feel great! I am a long-time fundraising professional with experience in both nonprofit and academic settings. When a donor connects with the impact they are making through their giving, their hearts expand, and their worldview is forever changed. This is a remarkable experience, and I am grateful to be part of their philanthropic journeys. I am looking forward to getting to know all the donors and volunteers. I can’t wait to learn their stories and discover what motivated them to get involved in this powerful cause. Lastly, I am excited to help this amazing nonprofit expand its financial base so we can provide more sustainable well projects, bringing safe, clean water to those in need and transforming many more lives, making the world a much better place in the process.

Susanne Wilson

Why I’m here: I’ve seen first-hand that there is no more basic need than water.

What I love about my work: Connecting with our supporters who are touched by our mission, and connecting with the villagers whose lives are changed by it.

Jamie Morris

Marketing Director

Why I’m here:  I found Water to Thrive through my research to find an organization working toward ending the water crisis in rural Africa, a cause near and dear to my heart.  Water to thrive knocked it out of the park when it came to transparency, professionalism, and impact.  I am extremely grateful to have this opportunity to learn new skills while sharpening existing ones, all the while in an effort to support a cause I’m extremely passionate about.

What I love about my work: My work with Water to Thrive has given me the opportunity to express both my creative and technical abilities.  I continually learn new skills and grow in an environment that is welcoming and open to new ideas.  I feel extremely fortunate to work for an organization driven to help those in need and transform lives.  Also, I love how connected I feel to the stories of the beneficiaries whose lives are forever changed by the work Water to Thrive is doing.  This organization has connected me to some of the most caring, selfless individuals I have ever met.  The team at Water to Thrive is extremely hard-working, and it’s an honor to learn from each of them on a daily basis.

What I love about my work: I am reminded every day that there are hundreds of generous people who give from their hearts to affect the lives of thousands. I am humbled and inspired by our donors and our recipients.

Why I’m here: I am forever grateful for the opportunity to work alongside a team of individuals who possess such wonderful hearts and compassionate spirits.

What I love about my work: The beautiful smiles and joyful hearts of children who receive clean, safe water for the first time is truly inspiring and amazing. Though they have very little, they are truly thankful for what they do have. You can almost hear the laughter when you look at a photo of their joyous faces.

Gashaw Simeneh

Why I’m here: I’ve witnessed rural, marginalized communities in East Africa that benefit from our water projects, and how people’s lives are being changed.

What I love about my work: Working in partnership, bringing higher impact to a community with minimum administrative costs, sharing different experiences with various cultures

Dick Moeller

Founder and Chairman of the Board

Why I’m here: Providence….that sums it up best. From the beginning, there was no grand plan. Things just started happening…..hearts opened, minds went to work, contacts were made, word spread. So many generous, caring people have helped make this possible. It has been a blessed journey!

What I love about my work: Witnessing the joy and gratitude from the blessing of clean safe water! This photo of eight-year-old Alimetu splashing clean water on her face for the first time says it all.
