Luther College, Climate Justice Week

About the Campaign

This year, Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, is celebrating “Climate Justice Week” (April 29-May 3), with a series of events exploring various Climate-related issues. Events will include a public lecture by a team of Luther professors and students, who will discuss their research on the quality of water in Winneshiek County; the Roslien lecture by world famous climate scientist, Jim Hansen; and a concert by hip-hop artist and Earth Guardian activist, Xiuhtezcatl Martinez.  We are also partnering with our friends at Decorah Middle School and the ELCA charity, Water to Thrive, to raise money to build a well in Tanzania in a community with which Luther has had a close relationship for over two decades.
