About the Campaign
Waverly-Shell Rock Middle School stands proudly just a few miles from the Cedar River in Northeast Iowa. Inspired by peers at nearby Decorah Middle School, WSR’s seventh graders are partnering with Water to Thrive to bring the community together in recognition that the world is ‘One Well’ and everyone deserves the right to clean, safe water. Kicking off May 1st, 2019 and culminating with a student walk-to-river event during our Spirit Day May 22nd, 2019, students and staff will participate in learning activities focused on clean water while fundraising through our “Change4Change” campaign. Please donate to our cause and contact Mr. Heying to learn more!
In honor of the school that introduced the book, "A Long Walk to Water," to Water to Thrive.
