Unfortunately, our blog postings will be shorter with much fewer pictures going forward. Our one and only laptop has died today, so we are limited to an ipad and iphone for internet connections.

This morning we left Ambo early to beat the traffic in Addis. We are on our way to visit projects in JeJu District with our partner ODA. Ambo is about 2 hours west of Addis and JeJu is about 3 hours east of Addis, so we have quiet a drive thru Addis during morning rush hour.

This morning, Bishop Mike will be departing the group to catch a flight back to the US later tonight. It has been a real blessing having Mike as part of our group. We will miss his great sense of humor, hunger for knowledge, inquisitive mind and spiritual guidance.

In 2013/14, with have implemented 50 water projects with ODA in the Jeju and Arsi districts. These are all complete or in the final stages, so over the next 3 days we will visit as many as possible. Our group divides into two cars to go our separate ways in order to cover more communities

With our two groups, this afternoon we meet with 7 communities to review the status of their projects. We always get to meet with members of the water committee to discuss their status and operation. All are collecting monies to build the maintenance fund.

After about 4 hours in the field and many long walks up and down beautiful valleys, we decide it is time to head back to hotel in Adama for some rest. On our way back, we encounter a beautiful sunset, stretching across a dusty valley.
