Happy Advent season and welcome to Water to Thrive’s Advent blog series!  Thanks for joining us as we prepare our hearts and minds for the celebration of Jesus’ coming at Christmas! Before starting our journey, let’s get acquainted with the blog format and what to expect.

Many people have Advent wreaths with candles they light and daily devotions. This blog can complement what you are already doing with the Advent wreath, or can be used in a more personalized way. Each day, we will have a recommended short Scripture passage, a meditation and a prayer to help incorporate the Word of God into our daily lives. (Of course, many days have a special focus on water!) Feel free to use these devotions as a jumping-off point, and let God take his time with you where he wants! Our hope is just that you gather with those you care about for a few minutes of each day and prepare for Jesus’ coming.
Each Sunday, we will have an activity to go along with the regular format described above. The purpose of these activities is to educate and engage you, the audience, about the water crisis. We hope that you will be inspired to unite in solidarity with our brothers and sisters around the world who, though they may face different obstacles than we do, are part of the human family. Together we wait with great hope for our Savior.
Happy Advent!
