To our faithful supporters,

These past weeks have felt unreal. Not being able to go out, go to work, go to my yoga studio, visit friends and family back in Indiana, or even friends in Austin, is hard. I am typically a very active person, so sitting still in one place is a challenge for me. Despite being quarantined at home, I am thankful for my roommates, the ability to work from home and for clean water to wash my hands and drink if I become ill. I am so thankful for the nurses and doctors saving lives and risking their own every day. I realize that right now, people are dealing with the loss of loved ones, the loss of jobs, the loss of their senior year and graduation ceremonies, the loss of wedding days, the loss of many canceled plans and opportunities cut short. It seems like the whole world is grieving. So, how can we fill each other’s tanks when they are depleted? How can we fill some of the emptiness from such loss? Hope. Kindness. Sharing good news.

At Water to Thrive, we see you. We empathize with you and we thank you for your continued support during the hardest of times. You’ve made our past few months so successful, giving a total of $11,307 for Amplify Austin Day and $7,901 for World Water Day! You helped us reach our goals and exceeded our expectations, so we want to do something for you. We are launching a new email series bringing you all good things–good news and stories of healing, hope and transformation from our beneficiaries.

We want you, our supporters, to stay connected and inspired during this time. We are so excited to bring you some positivity, and maybe a little perspective, in the coming month. Thank you for faithfully supporting Water to Thrive. We know you will continue to exceed our expectations with your generosity. Stay safe, stay healthy and be well. Our prayers are with you.

Best wishes,

Madison Magiera

Today, 785 million people still don’t have clean water to drink, to wash with or to keep their families healthy. COVID can’t stop GOOD! Water to Thrive is continuing to do the life-saving work of providing clean water. As the coronavirus pandemic becomes more widespread, your donations help the most vulnerable families around the world protect themselves. The first line of defense against the virus is hand-washing. Water to Thrive has been providing not only clean water, but water access, sanitation and hygiene training (including hand-washing training) to communities in need for over 10 years. We promise to maintain transparency and keep you updated on the ways this pandemic impacts our operations and the communities we serve.
